Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Professional IT Services, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the UniversaList app. This page explains what data UniversaList collects, how it's used, and your choices. We built UniversaList to work without a server of our own — your list data lives in your personal iCloud account, not on servers we operate.
Data stored in iCloud
Your lists, list items, colors, icons, and sharing settings are stored in your iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is:
- Stored under your own Apple ID, subject to Apple's own privacy policy and iCloud terms.
- Synced automatically between your devices that are signed in to the same iCloud account.
- Shared only with people you explicitly invite to a list, using Apple's CloudKit sharing. We never see, access, or store this content on our own servers.
If you turn off iCloud for UniversaList, your data remains on your device only and will not sync or be shareable until iCloud is re-enabled.
Information we do not collect
UniversaList does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not collect or sell your list content, contacts, or browsing activity. We do not operate a backend server that stores your personal data.
Purchases
UniversaList Pro is sold as an in-app purchase through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Payment and subscription information is handled entirely by Apple — we never receive your payment details. We only receive confirmation from Apple of whether you own UniversaList Pro, which is used to unlock Pro features in the app.
Push notifications
UniversaList uses silent push notifications solely to tell your devices when it's time to re-sync list data from iCloud. These notifications contain no personal content and are not used for marketing or alerts.
Diagnostic and crash data
If you've opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized crash and performance reports through App Store Connect. This is controlled entirely by your iOS Privacy settings and is not something UniversaList requests directly.
Children's privacy
UniversaList is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since all list data stays within your own iCloud account, no data is collected by us regardless of the user's age.
Your choices
- You can delete any list or item at any time from within the app, which removes it from iCloud for everyone it was shared with.
- You can disable iCloud sync for UniversaList at any time in Settings > [your name] > iCloud on your device.
- You can stop sharing a list at any time from the list's share settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
